Students for Fall 2014 Tri-C program?

U.S.A. Ohio

I knew I may be kind of premature with this topic but I wanted to start a thread for the people who have been accepted into the Tri-C nursing program for the fall semester. As of this morning, I was provisionally accepted into the program at Metro. Has anyone else been placed and if so which campus?

N also a friendly reminder;) I believe they want u to have the CPR done though American Red Cross or American heart association. I got mine done with American heart association n cost me around 80 dollars

Understood! At this time I have nothing completed because I literally got my acceptance yesterday morning. I'm going to reach out and make plans to get this all done immediately.

I have a question. Does anyone know where I can get a titer for the chickenpox shot? I remember having the chicken pox in the fourth grade so I wouldn't need to be vaccinated again. Or do you suggest getting the vaccination anyway?

Just call your doctor's office and have him or her order a lab draw. You wouldn't even need to be seen for a visit.

Hi bubbly 26

that what I did too. I went to the doctor n she ordered a blood draw for me n turn out I was not immune .

I believe two doses of the chicken pox r required n they have to be 4 -8 week apart;) hope that help

The problem is I don't have a primary doctor or insurance(doesn't start until April 1st). Should I just go ahead and get the vaccination anyway?

Consider going to a CVS MinuteClinic or other such place (you can check their prices online) or going to a county immunization clinic for titers/immunizations.

I ended up using both my Dr. for my Varicella titer and a MinuteClinic for the rest. A word of advise that I learned while doing these, you cannot have any other immunization for a month after getting a TB done. So if you need others to get along with a TB, make sure you get them all on the same day.

Your understanding of the situation is a little "off.". The timing issue relates to live virus vaccines only.

I was just admitted to the evening/weekend program at the East campus. Anyone else starting this fall?
