The good news – I was accepted into my nursing BSN program for next semester!
The bad news – we have a required white dress which is as thin as cheap drape, and the hem hits 2 inches above my knee when standing. When sitting or bending, it rides up even higher.
The dress code calls for white hosiery – pantyhose or knee-highs. Knee-highs? !!! If this didn’t come from the manufacturer, I would think it could be something for Halloween! Eek!
Wow, that's pretty short. I happen to be short and I might be okay bending over in that, but geez. I used to highlight my hair, lotsa blonde, and the only reason I stopped was because I wanted to be taken seriously in nursing school. So with my 4.0 GPA and plain brown hair I hope to do "all I can do" without the stereotypical stuff -- and don't ya know when I was talking with my friends about it, one of my male classmates (friend, so I didn't mind) said something about a blonde nurse giving a sponge bath, proving my point exactly. Hopefully I never have to wear a see-through miniskirt with knee-highs (or did they mean thigh highs ) at my program, but thank goodness I'm not a bleach blonde any more! That's okay, though, you are a nursing student, so wear it proud whatever they make you wear. I especially like the ideas about the guys wearing it too; I'd be talking to the guys in my class for sure!
WOW! I guess I won't complain about the horrid white scrub pants and white button up tunic that we have to wear. In fact, I always say that we look like the Sta-Puff Marshmallow man (think Ghostbusters) or we look like the Michelin man!
Congrats on getting in, but I hate that they are making you dress like a hooker on Broadway! So what happens on your first code? I guess you should wear bloomers so no one can get a lookie-loo up your dress!
Yipes that thing is horrible! I mean don't get me wrong I can think of a few of my classmates who would look great in it but its not practical at all and as a guy I'd be scared to see what they offer the fellas. I know our uniform was bad because they're wine colored scrubs but I feel bad for you guys. Good luck!

That looks so uncomfortable! Whoever thought of that must not have been thinking at all. But on another note, congrats on getting in (my clinical uniform is white scrub top/white pants which are easy to see thru so I understand!)
