I've been trying since December of 2014 to get all of my clinicals scheduled and have received call after call after call with rejections.
FINALLY today I get a very positive lead on a women's health preceptor at a free clinic. I need lots of good vibes, prayers, mojo, love, light, whatever you've got, that this goes through!
It's the only rotation I haven't secured and I will be so relieved when it works out so I can confidently continue my program.
BTW, this contact is a very active member in the APRN group of my region. Once again, it really does benefit you to network like this when you can.
Plus, she's asked me to volunteer at the workshops next week. YES!

Yay! Congrats! Women's health placements can be super tough to get! I hope it all works out for you. :)
The call didn't come today, so I called the site. They are agreeable, but it's going to be a tight squeeze to get in all the paperwork. I'm not even in the same state until Wednesday so it's not like I can GO there and get it. BUT the doctor will be there Monday so I'm hoping I will make some headway.
Keep praying! I've come so far to get no where....

Good luck! I hope it works out and you enjoy your time!
Still awaiting signed documents. I let the Field Application office know that I'm working on the thing and got an email saying that the time to submit has passed. (DUH) but that I could file an appeal.
Thanks for making me do more work that YOU SHOULD BE DOING, dangit.
Oh well. Keep breathing.
in
out
repeat.
So it will be a bit more red tape but I am frickin' determined.
All the paperwork is in but just to have my practicum application considered I had to file an appeal.
This quarter has been the most stressful to secure.
Pray that they approve it!!!

Prayers on the way! :)
The appeal was approved!! This means that they will review my application. I just hope the affiliation agreement gets signed soon.
Always a hurdle, but it seems to work out.
And YEEHA!
Got confirmation that the clinical was approved today. What a relief.
Only one more after that and it is with my first clinical quarter's preceptor, so everything is already in place. Praise the Lord!
