Student Nurse Association @ ASU?

Hi all -

I was just wondering if anyone here is or has been a member of the student nurse association at ASU? I understand that it is a chapter of the National Student Nurses Association, as well as Student Nurses Association of Arizona? :nurse:

I'm considering joining, just wondering if anyone has any experience with it? I really want to get involved with it, if it is an active association at the ASU Downtown campus.

TIA :clown:

Hello, Candice7409!

I don't know much about the SNA at ASU since they do not do anything over the summer (and I just started ASU's accelerated summer program), but I know that they are "active" in a sense. They have a handy Facebook site, so you might want to check that out. Just search Student Nurses' Association ASU and you should find it. From there you can probably email the President and whatnot. But yes, I do know for a fact that they are a bona fide chapter of the NSNA, but as for the other, I do not know.

Are you a student at ASU?

Hi Candice.

I just graduated from ASU and was a part of SNA (not on the board, just a member). It was very helpful. They have quartyly meetings with speakers and great information for your future profession. Another great organization to look into is CCNS (College Council of Nursing Students). This is an organization that I greatly involved with and had a position on the board. It is basically a student government for the nursing school at ASU, so you are more involved with the students and planning events, volunteering together, fund raising, etc. If you have any questions, I would go to ASU's website and email the president or vice president for those organizations.

Good luck,

April
