Check with the National League of Nurses, American Nurses Association, your local college financial aid officers, also there is a scholarship from scoring a 23 or better on the ACT. Good luck.

Natalee,

First let me say congratulations on choosing a career in the nursing field. In addition to the sources listed by bluesboyj, you will also find your high school counselor will have invaluable information pertaining to available scholarships as well as the information on how to apply for them. Your local library will also be a good place to start looking for information. Ours here has a huge book filled with national scholarships and the addresses to apply for them. Finally, check with your local hospitals, nursing homes, healthcare clinics, etc. Many of them offer scholarships to students who are entering the healthcare field. Good luck in your scholarship search AND you studies!

Hi there,

What is the scholarship for scoring 23 or better on the ACT?

thank you

Kimberly Rush

WOW!!! I'm really proud of you that you have kept that grade point average up like that with all of those courses!! Good job!!

When I was looking for scholarships I used the internet. It was a great place to go. I even found a scholarship for women over 5'10"!! Plug in the word "scholarships" in your browser and just start surfing. You'll be surprised what you come up with.

Also, check with the colleges that you are interested in attending, some might offer full scholarships for a 4.0 student.

My state gives a $3,000 incentive scholarship renewable every year for nursing students that will work for the state for two years after graduating (you can buy it back...make payments like a loan if you don't want to work for them).

I hope this helps! :D

On your computer type in Nursing Scholarships or Medical scholarships, you will get tons of listings. As try the NSNA they offer one. What i did was i went to each search engine-aol,goggle,yahoo, excite ect and type this in their is tons of stuff out there-just make sure you read the whole description before you apply. also check with college you plan to attend they may have some thing. Are your folks in the elks, moose, masons, lions or eastern star they offer scholarship help along with the vfw too. I hope this can help you and have fun searching for your scholarship dollars. It takes some time but it is well worth it :D

Natalie,

I am not yet a nurse, but I am starting school at westark this month....I have contacted Sparks and Saint Edwards hospitals and they have scholarships for nursing students as well. I don't know all the details, but if you call them and ask for the director of nursing they will give you the info. Also www.gocollege.com, www.fastweb.com, www.fafsa.com,here you can fill out for government assistance, pell grant and such, and as they said before just search scholarships.....DO NOT pay for any of these services that say they will find them for you....you can do it all on your own, it may take more time, but will save you money. I have seen some scholarships for your type of nursing that you would like to go into...email me if you want and I will send you some [email protected] :D
