Would you press criminal charges if one of your students took money from your wallet? The student has been expelled from the program but has not returned the money If I press charges theres a chance I could get my money back and hopefully she would be prevented from applying to another nursing school... Just looking for opinions. Thanks!
You do not know that she didn't take the money for the fun of it. You really don't know much about the situation at all. I am offended by your question of her background and ethnicity. As if I'd press charges based on that alone. If you must know she is caucasian, probably of northern European decent. She comes from an intact, middle to upper class family. I don't think she "needed" the money. She certainly never ate off the floor or from the garbage can.
Thanks for the update, Raggedy! I had forgotten about this thread. I'm glad to hear that it's on her permanent record and that she won't be in another nursing program. Sad that race/ethnicity had to be brought into this. WTH.
