Stuck on major college question...

Hey all,

I have a question about nurse anesthetist program admissions. Basically, all I need to know is this: do NA graduate colleges show any sort of favoritism to an applicant who has competed their BSN at the same college? In other words, if two applicants have the exact same application except one applicant did their undergraduate BSN at the same college that they are applying to, and the other applicant did their BSN at a relatively different unknown college, would favoritism be shown to the applicant that did their BSN at the particular college where they were applying to the NA program?

This is super important since an NA is what I really want to be (not an RN).

A Nurse Anesthetist is a RN first who works as an RN in a critical care setting for a few years then applies to a CRNA school which are intense programs that are highly competitive and very selective. Being an excellent critical care nurse is the pre-cursor to being a good CRNA. Your school should be accredited......preference is given to top performing students.

Two national organizations accredit nursing education programs:

• The National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) accredits all types of nursing education programs including master's, baccalaureate, associate's and diploma
  
• The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredits programs that offer only master's and baccalaureate level nursing degrees
  
• The Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) accredits nurse anesthesia programs at the certificate, master's and doctoral degree levels
