Stressing over nothing? Need advice.

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello!

I'm in my last few semester for my Pre-reqs, and I'm starting to STRESS OUT. I took all my Science classes that are required and got C's in all of them. I'm retaking Anatomy and as of now I have a high B. Striving for that A to boost my GPA. I'm meeting with a counselor this Monday to sort things out for my last semester before I apply but as of now my overall GPA is a 2.8 and I want to raise it up to atleast a 3.2 My school requires a 2.5 GPA for Sciences alone and I'm feeling stuck.

Need advice?

Trying to get into nursing school is so stressful. When I went for my orientation the nursing adviser told us that the minimum would not get us in. We had to have at least a 3.2/3.3 gpa and had to pretty much make A's in our sciences, but I also live in GA and all schools are different. I think talking with your adviser is a great step! I have read on different forums, that sometimes if you stress how much you want this and will ask what you need to do to get in and the advisers will guide you it will really help when your name pops on in that stack of applications, as long as you've done what they have told you of course! Sometimes it's not all about grades, it's also about how much determination you have put into making things right and showing them you can do this! Good luck!

Yes please keep your motivation up! The stress of this profession does not go away once you are in the program either! If this is what you want it will be :) good luck to you!!!

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement! I really do want this, just need to keep a positive mindset through all the stress.
