last week i wrote that i was max stressed out and didn't really want to be a nurse any longer. i managed to be in the right place at the right time and am going to start working in a hospice program toward the end of sept. this is something i have always been interested in. i feel already like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. i still want to be a nurse and look forward to helping peolple in the hospice program. thanks for all the encouraging words and thoughts.:wink2:

Yeah, Yeah, I remember that post. Many of us suggested trying out a different area of nursing to remind you why you became a nurse in the first place. I'm so very glad you were in the right place at the right time and have the opportunity to make a change. I can't imagine having worked on the same floor for 29 yrs.

My goodness! Twenty-nine years of med-surg! You should get a Medal of Valor for that.
You will bring a wealth of experience to your new position in hospice. :wink2:
