I am currently taking A&P 1 through straighterline. Has anyone taken or completed A&P through straighterline? I find the quizzes to be OK due to the fact that they are open book. The material is so dense and I find myself using majority of my time looking up the answers. I am afraid I am going to get to my final exam, which is not open book, and just ruin my grade. Does anyone have any tips or feedback on the final exam? Straighterline does not have a good study guide or lecture really. The material is heavy, and it is very difficult to know what what to study. Can anyone help?

I’m taking it right now. I couldn’t agree with you more. Sometimes I even find the answers are from different sections than where we are supposed to be tested on, or straight up aren’t in the book, or are based on graphics from a previous edition of the book (I own an older version of the book in hard copy.)
‘It is very frustrating. I’m up to the midterm, and everything up to there isn’t too bad. The first quiz after the midterm is a bit tough. Quite a few tricky questions. I skipped the mid term and moved on to that.
I read everything before taking the tests. My best advice is to read the assigned material, then dedicate time to hunt those answers. This particular class is set up to be difficult on purpose to make people repeat it.
my experience with other Straighterline classes (business stats, college algebra, Chemistry 1, and microbio) is that the finals are much easier than the quizzes.
If it's any help, I found quizzes 6, 9, & 10 the most involved/difficult. Quiz 11 also covers a LOT of material on the nervous system, but the time limit they give proved sufficient.
I think I'm learning more from the critical thinking / mad dash to answer correctly in the quizzes than I did actually reading the material.
Quizzes 12-16 weren’t that bad, but I still felt like I was fighting the clock. I decided to knock them out today. I had already finished my reading, more or less, in the two weeks before I started quizzing.
I will let you know how the final is when I take it. I’m not sure if I will be taking it tomorrow or Tuesday. I may need a mental break after today.
Thank you! I plan on taking the chapter 10 quiz tomorrow’s fingers crossed! Good luck on your final!

Good luck. I’d pay attention to which muscles in which compartments do what, and which muscles flex / adduct etc. The graphics / charts were very helpful.
I will be so glad to be done. 18 quizzes/tests is just too much. I’m looking forward to part 2.
How did your test go? I’m taking the final tonight or tomorrow. I got seriously burnt out and had to take a break.

chapter 10 quiz was very hard in my opinion. I almost ran out of time. I was able to pull off an 80%

I had the same experience. Rough test. Your mileage may vary, but I didn’t get less than a 95% on the rest of them.
I hope to do the final, tonight. I’ve had three hours sleep though so it will be substantially latter than right now.
Alright. I finished the final, I got a 77% on the test and a 90% in the class overall. I found the final significantly easier than the other tests and blasted through it in under 20 minutes without studying.
My particular experience was a lot of basic Chemistry questions, with some tricky endocrinology and neurology related questions. There were only a handful of questions related to skin, hairs, muscle, bones, etc.
