I took my test in May and it stopped at 85. I passed. Not sure what you mean about weaknesses but we were told that it's best to keep your questions high level, or harder and it grades on consistency of how many you get right total, not in one section. Hope that makes sense. Good luck.

if you're very conserned, which I was when i took my boards... check out the office of the professions website (I presume you're in NYC?)

Best of luck, let us know when you know.
I'm gonna pm this to you too!

What I meant about weaknesses is when you get something wrong, how they repeatedly ask the same sort of questions. It happened with me and infection control which is why i thought i failed. But.. .I WAS WRONG......I PASSED.....my voice is so sore after screaming after i found out. Now its time to find a job. NYC here i come....hehehe
PS Thanks Cashew for the link

Thanks again for all the support and best wishes now its time to find a job. I have to admit Im quite a bit nervous. Although I passed to be a LPN on paper, lacking the hands on expierience is quite scary. = )
Had a question for everyone, primarily those in NYC, what types of facilities did you start out in ? Ive been looking, and it seems like the only places to hire with no exp. are LTC's.
Okay... Does anyone know of anyone passing the lpn at only 85 questions? I just took the exam this morning and to my surprise it shut off at 85. I had thought i was doing fine up until that point. I did have one area that I was repeatedly tested on because it was my weakness.....so my second question, to all those who have taken the exam, how many areas of weakness can you have, or does it have to be none at all?
When I took the test (1987), it was written. One of my friends took the LPN in 1997, and did it computer. Yes, hers turned off at 85....passed!

Check into psychiatric facilities in your area. It's not as scary as most people think! Jay
