StonyBrook ABSN: Class of 2021

Hi all,

Thought I'd start a thread here so we can connect. I am in the process of taking my pre-reqs and plan to submit my application by the Oct 2019 deadline for the Summer 2020 start.

I'm planning on attending the Sept 19 info session on campus - anyone else going?

Yeah I was thinking that too.. my fear is that others are getting notified and it’s just not us ?

I thought the same thing when I first found this thread lol but I searched ENDLESSLY for other threads. I did find 1 other thread but it is actually WAY less active than this one to the point where someone posted for everyone to come to this thread because it is more active... but other than that it seems like this is the only one...

Also, I have been doing some research and it seems that the first wave of interview invites were sent the Friday after Columbus day... so it seems that we may not hear anything until this Friday 10.18... so I am going to try not to stress until then (or until I hear someone else has gotten an interview invite)

Where else did everyone apply to if they don't mind sharing? I am also waiting on Rutgers and UB since Stony Brook is super competitive.

I also applied to Stony Brooks basic bach program and SUNY Downstate ABSN. I didn't bother applying to private school's since I can't really do the whole $50k + tuition.

I am already accepted into Mount Sinai’s ABSN (and already paid my deposit ? ) but I deferred until May so that I can reapply to Stony Brook one last time.

in previous years I applied to Downstate, Binghamton and Hunter College.

I applied to SBU, Pace, LIU Brooklyn and Binghamton.

I applied to Downstate and a few private schools, but am really hoping for SBU!
