Hi all,
Thought I'd start a thread here so we can connect. I am in the process of taking my pre-reqs and plan to submit my application by the Oct 2019 deadline for the Summer 2020 start.
I'm planning on attending the Sept 19 info session on campus - anyone else going?

When I went to the info session on Sept 19, they said they would accept the LOR's up until October 13 (10 days after the application due date)

I have a lot of experience, Medical assistant, volunteer, activities asst, home health aide, my gpa from undergead is a 2.97 and post grade i have A, Bs, and one C plus in pre req. does that mean i shouldnt bother applying? my personal statement is also super unique. Does that mean I shouldnt bother applying / waste of time if they will filter my app out? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! thanks guys.
you should still apply! they allow re-takes of classes so if you want to increase your chances, you could re-take the prereq that you got a C+ in to improve your GPA.

That's super high for sure. I have that in my cGPA but not my science specific prereq GPA due to one class I got a B in. We'll see how it goes, I guess! Good luck!

From what I have heard from some of the people work in the department is that they typically screen and weed out the lower gpa’s ?
I hope it is not the case but that’s what I have heard before.
