Hi all,
Thought I'd start a thread here so we can connect. I am in the process of taking my pre-reqs and plan to submit my application by the Oct 2019 deadline for the Summer 2020 start.
I'm planning on attending the Sept 19 info session on campus - anyone else going?

We went around the room and answered pretty basic questions - there were only four questions. Then we had 25 minutes each for the essay and math test. Good luck to everyone!
Thank you for your positive message. It really helps to hear that. Can you confirm for me that the writing sample and math test are done on a computer vs. on paper. Also, when you say essay, did it end up being a full page worth of writing? Writing sample and essay mean different things to me, so I’m just trying to set that expectation for myself. Was the math as “basic” as inferred? I love interviews but I’m not as comfortable with impromptu tests. Again, thank you for your words of reassurance. I hope that you did well.

Sure no problem! The writing was on a computer (using Word) and the math was on paper! I said essay because it felt like writing an essay to me, but definitely in a really short time period, so shorter than a normal essay. (Idk what your definition of essay is.) It seemed like everyone had a full page of writing (double-spaced).
Math was definitely basic, and you didn't need to know conversions or any formulas or scientific facts. There was converting fractions to percentages, long division, and fraction multiplication, among other things. They gave us a sheet of paper for scrap paper and we wrote the answers on the test page. It was basic but definitely could be easy to make mistakes, and if you're not strong in the areas I listed, I'd do some practice!

Thanks for all your feedback! Was the math portion multiple choice? And during the interview did they ask if you had any questions?
@slorte sorry I don't feel comfortable sharing the exact questions, but I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine if you've been prepping!
@Deana Kay the math was not multiple choice! After the interviewer asked us questions, she talked a little bit about the program and there was a very brief time for questions. She stopped us after just a few questions, though, so we didn't really have much time for it at all.

Did the interview go for the whole three hour slot?
