is there anyone who applied to the 2 yr nursing program at Stony Brook?
Hey pearl,
I'm actually looking for the offcampus housing on my own. I have a friend who is currently at med school there and she sent me some links to look at. It is on campus housing that you have to wait for stony brook to let you access but i figure the sooner i start looking for off campus the better choices ill have.
what sites are you looking at i might be interested in off campus housing too i am keeping my options opened
Contratulations! Pearl 26. I hope to see you at the orientation!!
I just want people to know that it's really hard to live off-campus without a car. Stony Brook is not pedestarian friendly.. and I know a student who got run over by three cars and died about a week ago.
Right now, I am renting an apartment 30 min away from campus. It was the cheapest I could find lol. But I am so sick of driving in the morning now.. the traffic is horrible in long island. Also I get so tired if I have to take an exam early in the morning or really late at night(I had an exam til 11:00pm yesterday)
I think it's the best to rent a room in single-family houses near campus if you don't mind of lots of housemates. It's fairly cheap(250~400 bucks average with a roommate) and commutable. :)
I just got a letter saying I was put on the alternate list.
I already got accepted & registered for the AAS Nursing program at Farmingdale state so I have a back up for next year.
I was going to take my last pre-req (social psychology class) this summer if I got into SB, but now I'm neither accepted or rejected! haha I need to decide if I should take the chance and spend the extra $$ on the class over the summer in case I get a call from Stony Brook. The waiting is so exhausting.
Congrats to everyone who already got accepted! Good Luck. :-)
