Stony Brook University NP Summer 2023

I wanted to start this forum for future applicants to discuss future school plans. I applied for the FNP that starts Summer 2023, just awaiting to see how the process goes.

I heard that there are over 500 applicants for the FNP program and limited seating of 50 or so. So that's probably why it's taking so long

Anyone on this thread apply to acute care besides me?

Based off previous years treads it looks like FNP applicants heard back on 1/28 and 2/9. Seeing as how 1/28 is tomorrow and a Saturday I am assuming we will hear back on 2/9

I wish us all good luck. This has definitely been pretty hard to wait. The worst is how they told us to expect an answer in 6-8 weeks and now it's like..ten weeks later and nothing. I hope good things come to those who wait!!

Also, I applied last year too (obviously didn't get in). I compared all the dates (when I applied, when I interviewed, when I heard back) and it's absolutely taking longer this year.

But the deadline and interview were later than this year

Wouldn't that be wonderful! But I won't count on it, haha. Did you guys apply to other programs as well? I didn't, purely because of tuition costs
