Stony Brook University NP Summer 2023

I wanted to start this forum for future applicants to discuss future school plans. I applied for the FNP that starts Summer 2023, just awaiting to see how the process goes.

Applied for FNP. I had a choice of 3 days and multiple time slots for my interview. I interviewed Nov 7th. I believe they said they had 400 or 500 applicants and 30 something seats. We Interviewed then had to submit another essay, in real-time, immediately after the interview. I believe they said we will hear back around February. I got into another FNP program, but will withdraw if accepted to Stony Brook. Impatiently waiting!! Haha

OMG 400-500 applicants?! Can't say I'm entirely surprised to be honest....Does anyone know how many applied to the Acute Care NP Program? Waiting for their decision is like watching paint dry, LOL.

FNP deadline was October 7th! It has been about 16 weeks since our deadline! Psych NP heard back this week. Their application deadline was after FNP. Make it make sense !!

I believe psyc has a lot less applicants- that could be why they heard back first!
