Stony Brook U Nursing Basic BSN Fall 2014 Applicants!

Hey everyone! I'm in the middle of my prerequisites for the nursing program at Stony to apply for admission next fall! Just wanted to reach out and say hey to anyone else in the same shoes! Where else are you all applying?

SBU is obviously my first choice, but I'm also applying to NYU, Adelphi, Molloy, I might apply to York and Lehman, and I might apply to LIU Brooklyn. I would apply to Hunter, but I don't want to transfer for the spring only to be waitlisted (or rejected!) for one of their 100 seats.

Stony Brook is killing me...What is taking them so long? Do you know if they notify everyone at once?

I keep checking solar to see if there is any change on the site, no news so far.

Yeah nothing yet, I'm assuming we're going to find out Thursday/Friday

Same :/ did u guys apply anywhere else? I applied to one other accelerated and got rejected last week so sbu is my only hope for next sem :(

I only applied to SBU. I had an interview for the one year accelerated but didn't get in. I only have the prereqs for SBU and the location and cost is ideal for me. I'm finishing up microbiology now.

I realized what I wanted to do a little late in the game so I actually only applied to Stony but if it falls through then next year I have a line up of about 10 different schools I'm going to apply to

I know what u mean, other schools require more classes I'm gonna prob have to take summer classes to fulfill other schools requirements too :/

It's good that you're ready! I'm gonna need to take more courses for other schools req :/
