... and the letters were mailed this week so I should get it soon ... if I do not get a letter soon I will have to stake out my post office!! :)

OMG....let the frantic mailbox-checking begin! (yes, I've resisted thus far!)

Oh great, raise the stress a notch. I am tempted to hide my mailbox key for a week and have another glass of wine *wine

And just for good measure, I checked Solar and no changes there either ... might as well take away my computer too ... this just could get a little dangerous .... :hlk:

Atleast we are all just as crazy! My mother called my a mental patient last night when I told her I was mad at my bf because he would run home from work to check the mailbox for me because I don't get home until 8pm! I've spent hours trying the calculate the number of days it would take the letter to come from stonybrook to amityville.. Counting time delay in stonybrook mailroom and I have decided if it doesn't come tonight I am spending Saturday w a bottle of wine, some handwarmers and a lawn chair next to my mailbox! I have also considered bribing the mailman to deliver my house first and text me if he sites a LARGE envelope from sb. I liked it better when I was completely in the dark and thought it could come anytime!

Hope we can all laugh at ourselves :) we have work hard and waited so long already! At least we have a place to discuss w people who sympathize! Good luck and u all will be the first I write to if I hear anything! :yeah:

Are you kidding? I'm heading here first as soon as I find out as well :) I've mentally prepared myself for either decision, but I just want to know already. I'm also preparing myself to start microbiology in a few weeks, I have the textbook and started reading today (syllabus is online at my school). I'll be damned if I get behind in this class, the last prereq I need.

I am currently in FL and it will take longer for me to get a letter probably, so consider yourself to be a tad luckier to be closer to SB than me! Frustrated that I would be a non-resident if I get in this year (but SO much cheaper still than if I were to go to NYU or something), especially since I was a lifelong NYC resident before I moved here (even went to undergrad on Long Island for goodness sakes!) ... I think my odds are also slimmer being from out of state. If I have to try again, hopefully by then I will be a resident again since I am planning to move back north anyway. AND then there is the extra hurdle of being able to afford costs if I do get in, so there is a chance that I won't be able to go. :crying2: Not working for a year is quite a stretch for me right now.

Let's see ... going to mailbox now .. who knows if I get a surprise today! :lol2:

I'm in New Mexico, so I'll definitely be getting mine later too! No changes to my solar page either. For those who had some new tabs a few days ago--is there anything new within those tabs, or is it still giving you that weird error message? I'm losing hope with each passing day. I can feel a tiny envelope coming my way! At least SBU sends you a formal letter- Yale just emailed those of us who didn't get in! :lol2:

Thanks Mellie! I'm not even going to check my mail then....no way I have it if you don't already have it! Did SBU give a specific day this week that they mailed letters? (can you tell I'm getting desperate?) :grn:

I called them today and they said they've been "in the process" of mailing them all week... so maybe they haven't mailed all of them yet? It just seems weird that even though they've been mailing them for a week, NONE of us have gotten them. at least we're all in the same boat i guess! ahhhh nervousss... i check Solar every 5 minutes!

:lol2: no, just expressing my great displeasure with all this waiting... hehe super impatient now. I've been pouring my extra time and what little energy I have after my New Year's vacay into learning some new recipes...It'll be better once I start class again next week!
