Nursing Application has now opened for the Basic BSN fall 2018 program. I will be submitting my application Sept 1. I noticed there was no forum so I decided to start one... Good Luck to everyone that is applying. It is a bit early but it doesn't hurt to communicate with everyone. Has everyone finished all their pre-reqs?

Hi guys I have just a quick question about the Fine Arts requirement. What class did you take?

I heard that it can't be a practical one such as stage makeup, which I am taking now. Would be annoying if I have to take a different one...

Does anybody know?

I'm not quite sure. I would call or email to ask, they're usually really good at answering emails.

I took art history, but didn't take it to fulfill a requirement of the program. I just had taken it already for undergrad

I think it depends on where you go and if the credit will transfer over to SBU as a fine arts requirement. However, if you do go to SBU already, any class that satisfies the ART requirement will most likely count towards your fine arts requirement. I took MUS 119 and it was really easy. Regardless, if you aren't sure if it will count, I definitely recommend emailing Karen Allard at [email protected] and she will tell you.

There were two interviewers. We were asked about 5 questions. For the math, there was algebra like finding x. There were also 3 word problems.

Hi guys, my interview is on 2/14 and I am super nervous about the essay sample. Can someone who's been to the interview please tell me what the essay sample is like? Are we giving a topic to write about or its more like answering questions? HELP! Thanking you in advance.

I did my interview 2 days ago. For the writing sample, they give you a topic to write about and then give you a limited amount of time to complete the essay.
