My attempt at helping those who wish to apply to the Stony Brook Accelerated (1 year) Nursing Program.

Is anyone else having issues with paying the deposit?

I'm not able to do anything on my phone with solar past the home screen, I have to wait to get home this evening because everything is zoomed in :/

Is anyone else also applying for the 2 Year? My plan all along was to apply to both, and I would prefer the Basic 2 Year if given the choice, so I can take my time in the program. Do I accept my offer of admission to the Accelerated and pay the deposit, and then if I am admitted to the 2 year, withdraw from the Accelerated, accept the 2 Year? I'm just a little confused on how to go about this. Any info would be awesome. smile emoticon

How difficult is it to get housing? I only live an hour away In the city but I'm not sure how I'd feel about that commute everyday.

I'm currently a Stony Brook student, and I live in West Apartments on campus. Even as a senior it was difficult to get into the apartment. I'm not sure how they go about housing for nursing students, I'm just crossing my fingers that I'm able to stay in the same apartment!

I just joined this site. Congrats to all who have been accepted. I just got accepted today as well.

I accepted the offer and put down the deposit. So excited!

Does anyone know when the program begins- sometime in June, correct?

Yes I believe June. I'm sure we'll get all the info we need to start the process and everything that needs to get done before classes begin.
