Stony Brook Accelerated Nursing Class of 2017
Anyone else having deposit issues? I paid with a credit card, and the transaction shows up on my bank statement, but hasn't processed on Solar yet.

Stony Brook Accelerated Nursing Class of 2017
I'm currently a Stony Brook student, and I live in West Apartments on campus. Even as a senior it was difficult to get into the apartment. I'm not sure how they go about housing for nursing students, I'm just crossing my fingers that I'm able to stay in the same apartment!

Stony Brook Accelerated Nursing Class of 2017
Is anyone else also applying for the 2 Year? My plan all along was to apply to both, and I would prefer the Basic 2 Year if given the choice, so I can take my time in the program. Do I accept my offer of admission to the Accelerated and pay the deposit, and then if I am admitted to the 2 year, withdraw from the Accelerated, accept the 2 Year? I'm just a little confused on how to go about this. Any info would be awesome. smile emoticon

Woah! I was just curious since we're all in the same boat, although I do appreciate your sarcasm and humor. I'll keep my nervousness to myself from now on haha

Stony Brook Accelerated Nursing Class of 2017
Hello my fellow aspiring nurses! I have also applied for the Accelerated Program and had my interview Oct. 19th. I remember them saying they were hoping to have responses out before the holidays. Now that it's December I'm starting to get anxious! Has anyone called to see if there's a tentative date?

Stony Brook 2013
Thank you for your feedback! I think I'm going to take Chem over the summer. And I know how competitive it is, and that scares the hell out of me! haha. I guess all I can do is work hard and get as much experience as I possibly can.

Stony Brook 2013
Hello everyone! I am in need of serious help/advice. I've had my heart set on Stony Brook's nursing program for about a year now, and am currently at a community college working on prereqs and gen eds. I've been accepted to the college for Fall 2013 and planned on finishing prereqs next year. My current GPA is a 3.9 and I have loads of volunteer experience at a local hospital. As far as prereqs go I've taken: Stats, Gen Bio I, Sociology, and Psych and got a 4.0 in all of them..but I've just discovered that Calc is a corequisite to Chemistry? I've only taken Stats, thinking that was the only math requirement, well I was wrong. I'm not even eligable to take Pre Calc at my CC because I don't have the prereq..how in the world do I get to Calc and can I in a decent amount of time? I understand there is a placement test at SB but I honestly don't think I'd place in Pre Calc. Should I go to another school that doesn't require Calc? (i've also been accepted to Brockport and Buffalo). HELP!
