Stony Brook Accelerated Nursing Class of 2017

My attempt at helping those who wish to apply to the Stony Brook Accelerated (1 year) Nursing Program.

I'm curious to know whether anyone got accepted today? Last year several people received either acceptance or rejection emails the same day (a Friday). Then the following Tuesday others posted that they were wait listed.

I have not heard anything yet so fingers crossed.

For those who did not get in do not be discouraged! There a lot of programs out there and in the end you will become a nurse! Good luck everybody :)

Someone in my group interview already received a rejection email. That makes me think I should hear back anytime this week hopefully. Well wishes to everyone! We're in this together!

So we could technically be finding out sometime this week? Ahh the anticipation is killing me! Not to mention it's finals week...

We might be! But it's driving me up the walls too, I'm obsessing reading/rereading threads, refreshing the forum app when I know there's nothing new. I even dreamt last night that I was checking solar smh. Finals are supposed to take my mind off it but it just adds to the stress lol.

I figured we wouldn't be getting any emails during the weekend (although I did check my email often...) But tomorrow is monday again lol. I'm so excited because I am allowing myself to believe, but I am also so nervous.

I'm not sure why but I have a feeling there'll be emails Tuesday, but you never know something could come tomorrow also. I'm staying very positive and hoping for the best!

I really hope we hear tomorrow! It's becoming so stressful compulsively checking my emails. Does anyone know how many will get waitlisted?

At the info session I went to Oct 1st we were told 40 would be on the waiting list but I don't know how true that is, that sounds a bit much.

Thank you! That sounds like a lot to me too. I guess what's meant to be will be... We all have worked hard and have a great shot! I wish we could all get in! I honestly wish everyone the best of luck and hopefully we will find out sooner than later because for me not knowing is killing me lol
