Stony Brook Accelerated Nursing Class of 2016

Published

Can we make this the official thread for The Stony Brook Accelerated Nursing Class of 2016. Let's start posting questions and suggestions here.

If we still didnt get an interview, does that mean we didnt get it?

When I went for my interview, they said 4-6 weeks, which would be mid/late december to mid/early January. Keep in mind that the process can always speed up or become delayed for whatever reason! Also, it is possible to not hear a decision for several months. Just don't make assumptions until you receive the actual acceptance or denial letter.

I haven't heard of anyone getting in without an interview. Even the chance of being a waitlist is rare if you didn't have an interview.

Interview is key with this program :/

I am really not sure. But I had an interview a few days ago and they said we don't get a letter until mid January. Just for a heads up

I wonder what goes on for folks like me. I was interviewed 2x last year and this year no interview.

I was really hoping for an answer by the end of december :( nyu's tuition is due january 6th, and i was hoping to have an answer before the due date

I went for my interview yesterday and they said we should hear from them right after Christmas.

I was wondering can u get an interview for the accelerated and the 2 year also? Or does stony only give one interview only. Has anyone from last year got both interview?

I was interviewed twice, for the one year and the 2 year and was rejected both times... I did try again now... So interview this time so I'm guessing I'm a sure NO. :(

Jenster3, did you ever ask admissions what the reason was that you weren't accepted? Or do you have any idea why you weren't? That stinks I'm sorry :(. Life has another plan for you then!

They wont tell you why, I did ask. That's what I keep telling myself, it wasn't the way for me.... I was accepted into Molloy so I started the process and if SB comes through I'll be thrilled.

congratulations on molloy! I know someone who is in their program currently and she loves it. It's hard to get into any school at all so you should be very proud no matter what
