Can we make this the official thread for The Stony Brook Accelerated Nursing Class of 2016. Let's start posting questions and suggestions here.

As someone said earlier, last year they were called for an interview after people had already been interviewed so maybe they are not going to send our more emails until they interview the first group. I know they keep saying we will hear end of december early january but if they need more time they will take it. They don't care that the wait is killing us haha

Hi all, I got a reply saying "Applications are still being reviewed. Look for decisions in late December/early January."

So there is still hope we just have to be patient. This is the only school I applied to so I really hope I get in.

So does that mean no more interviews? I'm confused by that response from them. Wasn't very clear.

I think it meant they haven't reviewed all the applications and are interviewing the ones reviewed so far?

Maybe they are going in order by application received? I submitted mine on Sept. 28 and haven't heard anything yet. I'm feeling very discouraged!

Nobody should feel discouraged. They will send out interviews probably up until the last week of November. Interviews will be going on while more interviews are going out. If they waited to do all the interviews after scanning through every single application, we wouldn't hear back until like April. If you had not heard yet, that doesn't mean anything at all. I've even known people who got accepted without an interview.

Hang in there kids. In the mean time focus on something else and just let things happen. We've all done the best we could've done up to this point, it's just time to wait.

It just seems like such a short window of time, especially with Thanksgiving at the end of the month. Including today, there are only 10 business days left in the month. I understand they have a lot of applications to sort through. I'm wondering what their methodology is.

Ok, when I called today they said another round of interviews is going out very soon.... so we still have hope!

Hi guys, I am new to this thread and I am so excited to see a class of 2016 version. Stony Brook is my #1 choice and I am desperately awaiting a response. I applied on the deadline date and its already been about a month with no correspondence. I was recently accepted into NYU, I applied on Nov 1st, and I only have 3 weeks to decide. Im so stressed out because Stony is my 1st choice.
