It's almost september, which means people are starting to get their applications for nursing together real soon. I'm currently in the 1-yr nursing program here at Stony Brook. A previous alum started the 2014 thread for us, so I figured I do the same. Feel free to ask questions or message me with them. Good luck to everyone applying! :)
I also got in! So happy! Looking forward to see you all! Those who graduated from this program or are in the program can you please tell me the books you use for pathphysiology and pharmacology. Thank you![/quote']Right now we are taking pharm and path (not pathophysiology, just pathology) in the school of medicine. The program is changing next year and you will be taking it in the school of nursing so you are likely to have different books.
Just an FYI, almost everyone, including myself, just buys old editions of the texts from amazon for like a dollar. You never ever need new editions. They are a complete waste of money and are exactly the same as the old ones minus the $100 for each book they steal from you. In fact, for many classes you will never crack open the book but I think they are nice to have as a reference. We also have all of the books online so I can give those to you as well :).

The requirements for the 2-year program are indeed different, and can be found here: Basic Baccalaureate Program | School of Nursing
