Hey all! I spoke with an admissions counselor today and she informed me that I've been placed on the waitlist...better than rejection I suppose!

If you're rejected can you be waitlisted? Or is that a separate email?

I interviewed on November 19th and have yet to hear anything!

I have not and am getting very inpatient!! I am thinking they sent out that first wave of acceptances and none thereafter?

I interviewed on November 19th. At that time they told me that we were the last group to interview. From what I'm gathering from this post, everyone who was accepted thus far had mid-late October interviews! So maybe there is some hope for the November interviewees (at least that is what I am telling myself)! I have been compulsively checking my email and solar, as I'm sure many of you have been! Fingers crossed! It seems that since that first wave of acceptances there haven't been any since?

Was your acceptance sent to the email address that you provided to Stony Brook or did you check your SOLAR?

I had the same problem! I called Admissions and they realized it was a 'glitch' and fixed it! I would suggest you doing the same. If you graduated from college and have a degree, you should not have to submit SAT or high school transcripts!

I'm really not sure. They were quite specific when they said they were aiming to make decisions by the first to second week of december. I would assume they would do it all at once, but who knows.

Hi! New to the group but wanted to leave my 'two-cents.' I also interviewed for SB's 1 year program. My interview was last Tuesday. They told me that we were the last interview group and that we would hear back either the first or second week of December! So I'm very surprised that you had an interview today? They must have created additional interview slots!
