  1. Hi Drake I'm currently in the 2 year program at Pace in NYC- for me I had A's and one A- in all my pre-reqs, but it doesn't matter where you take them from. I went to a private college for my undergrad and I had pretty bad science grades, so I retook all my pre-req's at LaGuardia Community college and Queens college (which were much easier!). In terms of experience, some people that I interviewed with didn't have much health background experience since we all came from different fields but its definitely a plus to have some! I use to work at NYU Langone Medical Center and volunteer and I felt like helped me a lot for the interview. Anyways, I remember being on this sight a lot while I was applying so I just want to pay it forward. Let me know if you have any more questions! :)
  2. Hi edibe001, sorry for the late reply! I'm most likely going to pace 1 yr program:] Whats your e-mail address? I'm [email protected]
  3. Hi edibe001, Congrats! I interviewed on Feb 23rd too and I was in the last group to be interviewed (group of 3). I got my acceptance e-mail too really quickly. Were we in the same group?
  4. Hey did you apply for SUNY Downstate 2014 program? I'm about to take the TEAS for it…super nervous. Hows the process going for you so far?
  5. Hey i just replied to your stony brook comment at the stony brook forum haha. But congrats again! May I ask when you applied? I applied Nov 15th and I'm just hoping letters are going out in order somewhat...

  12. Hi ya'll good luck to everyone applying for 2014!! This was my first time applying to stony brook and I was wondering if we have to send our official transcripts right away or do we have to wait until the school e-mails us to do so? The info from SB website and student services are telling me diff. things >
  13. I'm applying for NYU's accelerated Nursing 2014 year too. Simplybliss, it seems like you have good experiences. I use to volunteer too at Queens Hospital but that was over 3 years ago...I'm planning on going back there to volunteer soon=] But other than that, I'm, not sure what other experience I can obtain to make myself a better candidate. Does anyone have any suggestions? btw how are you guys planning on submitting recommendation letters? Have you guys heard of submitting letters through Interfolio?
  14. Wow that was a beautiful story. Thank you for this post!
