Stony Brook Accelerated Nursing Class of 2015

It's almost september, which means people are starting to get their applications for nursing together real soon. I'm currently in the 1-yr nursing program here at Stony Brook. A previous alum started the 2014 thread for us, so I figured I do the same. Feel free to ask questions or message me with them. Good luck to everyone applying! :)

No not yet:no: ... I'm hoping someone will get back to me today. I just find it weird that I have a tab that no one else seems to have besides DLH1086

Congrats on getting accepted DLH1086! I'm a little confused though. I don't mean to sound rude but they told you that people will start finding out at the end of november but you were able to find out your decision earlier than everyone else? I'm wondering if anyone else heard back already.

Thats pretty awesome for you because now you get to relax haha, I've been driving myself crazy! I was also told around Thanksgiving was when they were sending out the acceptances

Yeah well apparently there was an error with their system so We hear around November/December. It seemed too soon to find out so I had a feeling something wasn't right! But I'm crossing my fingers and hoping to hear for the best! Good luck.

Oh wow so thats a huge error on their part then haha. Well, hopefully you still get the official acceptance at the end of November!

@DLH1086 They should let you in just for doing that to you...hopefully that's foreshadowing of what's to come when you log onto SOLAR in 4-6 weeks!

Hi all!

I have an interview scheduled for next week...super psyched! Here's my question- I am hoping to eventually get an advanced practice nursing degree, specifically in Nurse-Midwifery. All the other programs I'm applying to are linkage programs where you get your RN and Masters in one shot a.k.a one application process, but I have my heart set on Stony Brook. Does anyone know anything about the process of applying for the masters program while you're in the accelerated bachelors program? Also, if anyone has any more info on the Midwifery program that would be fantastic!
