Yes, orientation started this morning :( BUT perhaps they will call you today, some people end up not showing up. And if not, do you plan on re-applying?

Yes, I will reapply for next year's program. Third times the charm, right?

Yes, I'll be rooting for you! And if you get in, by the time you are taking med-surg I should be precepting in clinical ... who knows? I may be your preceptor :D ... wouldn't that be a pip?

Hello am new to the thread. Have read alot of comments from Paco and they seem very informative.

I have applied to the one year program twice and got denied. I want to find out about the two year program that is being talked about. Pls I need help in knowing the best way to apply this year. Thanks

Sorry that I can't advise you on the 2-year program as I never applied to it, however I have heard that the 2-year program is a little less competitive to get into than the 1-year (the average GPA of those accepted is a tenth less than the ABSN). In your personal statement, I would definitely mention that I am a re-applicant if I were you ... but don't take this as a guarantee that you will get in. The admission criteria and process is super-secret, no one can seem to figure it out. You don't need a 4.0 to get in, but it seems the common thread is outstanding recommendations and personal statements. I can't see how this would be different between programs.

Thanks Paco, I will do as you recommended
