Stony Brook ABSN Class of 2022

Stony Brook School of Nursing has recently opened the undergraduate application portal for the 2021 school year. I was part of an allnurses thread for their Basic BSN program last year, and the information and support from other applicants was amazing; so I jumped on creating a thread for this cycle as soon as applications became available.

Any questions or even just casual discussion about the program is more than welcome! Can’t wait to talk to all of you. ?

Is anyone else having trouble paying the deposit or is it just me?

@sp123 I've completed some of the tasks today (meningitis form, and code of conduct) but not able to pay yet... I don't think they have the amount posted yet on solar

Has anyone been accepted into both Binghamton's BAT program and SBU's accelerated program? If so, which one would you choose? My friend was accepted into both and is having difficulty deciding between the two.

@meiwenxIf I were your friend, I would weight the pros and cons... they are both 12 Months... so the other thing I would keep in mind is distance, I live like 15mns from Stony Brook so that's one of the reasons, it was my number one and only option...LOL

I have the same issue for paying the deposit. 

I am wondering there is anyone who was able to pay the deposit. 

Also, do you know when is the due date for paying the deposit to secure the seat?

Hi! Were you able to pay the deposit? I checked SOLAR, and nothing was posted near the check box.
