Stony Brook ABSN Class of 2022

Stony Brook School of Nursing has recently opened the undergraduate application portal for the 2021 school year. I was part of an allnurses thread for their Basic BSN program last year, and the information and support from other applicants was amazing; so I jumped on creating a thread for this cycle as soon as applications became available.

Any questions or even just casual discussion about the program is more than welcome! Can’t wait to talk to all of you. ?

Yeah, sorry that’s what mine said “alternate list” not waitlist I think it’s the same thing

I didn’t interview so I’m just waiting on a rejection at this point LOL. Not sure why everything didn’t go out at the same time though.

Yup. My anxiety has been through the roof lately waiting on the results. Really hope the next round of decisions will be coming this week.

I’m in an especially bad position because other schools don’t accept the classes I took at stony! So IDK what I’m gonna do if I’m waiting on bad news (god forbid). And I got nowhere to go if I don’t make the cut here

I was placed on the alternate list (aka waitlist) I don't know what the odds of getting in at the point are. I'm just keeping hope and praying I still have a chance. IDK what steps I need to take next. If I need to send my official transcripts now or wait until I hear back on the final decision? Congrats to everyone who got accepted today. I hope its everything you wanted and more.  I'm sure we will all make great nurses someday one way or the other. It was amazing to know I wasn't alone throughout the process. Thanks to whoever created this thread.

Does anyone know how long we have to accept or decline the decision? I’m still waiting to hear back from another school so I don’t want to make a final decision until then

If you check SOLAR it says you have to 10 days to decide
