Hello all!
I graduate May 2nd and was wondering if it would be weird if I wore my honor stole and cord for my pinning pictures? I will not be attending the commencement graduation, just the pinning ceremony. Has anyone worn their stoles/cords for pinning pictures?
Thanks!

I have never seen graduation regalia worn for nurse pinning. Pinning is the ceremonial culmination of transferring from a student to a nurse and I would imagine that most programs want that to be relatively uniform among the students. Whereas graduation is the culmination of an academic career for a certain degree and students who have earned honors etc. should be celebrated for the accomplishment.
Now, if you are taking individual pictures separate from the the group pinning then I would say by all means wear the regalia if you are not going to commencement.
Just my 2cents.

This was actually the standard for my program's pinning ceremony. I believe related to how some "dressed" for the pinning ceremony. And any honor cords/additional regalia was expected to be included.

Nothing weird about it! My pinning is May 11th and I'll be wearing mine :)

My pinning ceremony was also graduation. I was in an accelerated BSN program for students who already had a previous non-nursing bachelor's degree.
We wore our cap and gown, and also our nursing pin.
There is no right or wrong way to do it, so wear what you'll want to see in your own pics!
