Hey everyone I think I just need some comforting words because I am beginning to freak out. I took the nclex-rn on monday (june 9th) had 265 questions. All of my classmates who had taken it before me received their results within 3 business days and passed. Obviously I still haven't gotten my results so I'm starting to freak out. I called the BRN today and they told me that my results haven't been processed yet. My file is completed and nothing is missing or pending. Pearsonvue's website shows that they have successfully delivered my results to the BRN. In CA we don't have quick results so I'm sitting here in limbo. It's hard to eat or sleep and the anxiety is killing me. I'm trying this whole breathe and relax thing but it's not working for me. I just need to know. Pass or Fail just let me know so that I can get on with my life. There's just so much pressure because I already have a position offered to me and the manager would like to know if I passed or not because they really need someone with a license. Meaning if I don't pass, they have to offer the position to someone else. How do I be patient? I don't know anyone from my school who has had to wait for longer than 3 business days, but then again they all passed! Maybe it's the time of year and they have a high volume of future nurses taking the test...GGGAAAA I'm going to lose it here....HELP!

Ca states on their website it takes anything from 3-10 days to get results and we have had people post on here it took longer. Unfortunately nothing you can do but wait for results
Good luck

I wish you the best of luck. Unfortunatly you'll just have to wait it out. You made it through 2 years of nursing school didn't ya? You can wait a few more days!
Okay so now it's been exactly a week since I look my NCLEX-RN and still no word. It's so draining because one of my classmates took 3 days after me and she found out she passed in 2 business days! What is going on with my case. I've called the boards like 3 times since and they keep telling me my results haven't been processed yet! Gee-wiz not processed yet, how did she get her scores already and not me?!? I know my case is different but I just feel like I'm going to explode. I am an emotional basket case. I obsessed with getting the results. At this point it's somewhat just let me know if I failed so I can get on with my life and start planning the next step. I thought the test was hard, but I have to admit that the waiting is even harder. I am trying to stay positive but it gets harder and harder each day. I keep checking the BRN website to see if my name is posted but everyone who has taken it after me has passed and their names are there. I don't know if I should take this as a sign that I failed or just wait. How can they not have my results processed if someone who took it after me already got their results...sighs...I guess I won the unlucky lottery this time around.

As we keep stating over and over again, and I am sure that you are not going to want to hear it. But you always need to give them two weeks to process your file, each and every time that you phone them, it delays processing of files that are on desks waiting to be reviewed by a human.
How do you know for a fact that your file is complete? It is not complete as it does not have your score added to it as of yet, so therefore it is not complete. They must have transcripts in your file before they can release your results as well. As well as a clear reading on fingerprints, and the results of the exam before they will review you file for a final time.
Not sure if you understand how they do things there. Each item as it is received is placed in your file, by hand, and not automated. This means when transcripts arrive, as well as fingerprint results, etc. And then the results from the exam. Then and only then is a file reviewed to make sure that it is complete. Just because the results were received by the BRN, does not mean that they have made it to your file.
Also depends on where their file was in the stack that their reviewer had, as well as where yours is in the stack that your reviewer has in front of them. Also depends on where your last name falls in the scheme of things.
This is how CA does things, and there is nothing that you can do to change it. I know that it is not what you wish to hear, but it is what we recommend.
Average wait time is a full 10 days, not the two to three days that you hear about. And especially as a new grad, the BRN will permit one to test when the file is not complete. Suggest that you give them the time that they need to process things. And it can take up to a month, there is no place that it is written as to when one is going to recieve their results or when they have to give them by.
Best of luck to you, but you need to find something to take up some of your time while you are waiting, you are getting stressed out over something that you cannot do anything about. And the person that answers the phone is not the one that usually is handling your file.
