Still waiting to hear from SRJC !!!

It is so hard to plan life with 3 kids and not know! I am taking CPR class just in case! So many schools have heard so not sure why ours takes so long!!

My zen attitude has officially been thrown out the window. I cannot believe they did not let us know today! I am shocked. This is worse than waiting to go into labor. At least then I knew I was getting a cute baby. I find it completely unprofessional. We do have lives you know. Some us would like to make plans for the summer. I mean does anyone else find this ridiculous?????

I agree with you 100%. This is absolutly rediculous!!! The application deadline was the beginning of Feb if I remember correcty. They have had all of Feb, March, April, and May to do the picking. 4 whole months! That's just insane. I'm extremely upset. My anxiety has been through the roof because all I can think about is getting into the program. This wait has been wayyy too long.

Yes, but remember they started accepting in Oct didn't they? I hand delivered mine on the first day of acceptances so they have had more than enough time to pick names out of a darn hat!

No, the application period is Oct-Feb. Once all the applications are in, they start going through them and coming up with a "success score". Then they determine the minimum "success score" based on previous stats and then randomly pick from those who make the minimum score. It says all this on their website. But ya, they wouldn't be able to start picking names until all applications were in, which the deadline was Feb.

Yes it just seems like they could have started looking as apps came in so they wouldn't have 400+ to review starting in feb. It isn't rocket science for them to figure out a stream lined process in a timely manner.

Arg! I just got an email from SRJC and my heart started beating really fast. It was a stupid email about the Student Center being open on June 7th. That was worse than getting the financial aid letter and being let down since I was expecting an email. LOL!

I just got the email and didn't make it in. So much for my 4.0 huh?

Apparently my number is "high on the alternate list" though they didn't say how high. I'm so irritated now.
