Still waiting to hear from SRJC !!!

U.S.A. California

It is so hard to plan life with 3 kids and not know! I am taking CPR class just in case! So many schools have heard so not sure why ours takes so long!!

That's great to hear Maymie. Thanks. I have to say though, I got into the Fall class, but I live pretty far away and may instead rely on being on the alt list of a school nearby. I'm trying to figure out if the positives of the SRJC program is worth the 90 minute drive from my home each day. Are there any graduates of the SRJC program here to give any feedback?

You are in for a rude awakening... I have been there and done that to hell and back, walked through, fell down, sank below low... and barely made it to tell the tale which i dont tell often. That past is a memory i'd rather suppress and deny until the day i die. and that's sayin it politely. Watch out for some individuals that orchestrate the strings of your puppetry life for the next two years. Whatever you do. don't stand out. head down. follow the rules. and pray.

you might seriously consider PUC or Dominican, more money/debt when done, but what i would do differently if i had to do it again. There are a few precious souls/instructors... find them, hope you get them in clinical... and did i mention, KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN.

Wow... I'm actually shocked. I have never once heard one bad thing about their nursing program. I have heard from many individuals, first-hand that it is a great program. Personally, I think that if what you stated is absolutely true... I think we would be hearing more about the "horrors" of the programs. But that's just my two cents.

How about some details GrooveMaden? I know many graduates of the program, students in the program, faculty and administration. Additionally, every nurse I've talked to about students in rotaions in North Bay hospitals praise the SRJC students and program.

You make some pretty vague and strong indictments of the program, but offer no specifics. Keep your head down? Corrupt individuals? You've lost me...but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt if you explain without mentioning names...

I plan on approaching my schooling with my nose to the grindstone (if that means head down, no problem), a sense of gratitude from all my instructors and their time and expertise, and the same for the hospitals and staff that open their doors to rookie students that need to learn the ropes. I can understand why the school might try to filter out those students who are not focused, take up large amounts of time for whatever reason, and slow the pace of learning... this isn't fair to students who really want to benefit from the fine instruction the school has to offer.

I saw this first hand all through my science prereqs...

Please clarify your post ...convince me it's not a troll post..
