took my nclex in ca on sunday, july 29th. most od my friends received their results via the bon website in 3 days... others, including myself are waiting a lot longer. i called the bon & they couldn't answer why some get their results quicker. i got the minimum 75 questions & felt like i guessed a lot. i guess everyone feels like that.
i was supposed to start working, but keep having to get my start date postponed due to no lisence number. i didn't get my ipn cause my hospital doesn't accept. i am getting very frustrated and desperate. i wish i my results would post. i am at the mercy of the bon and it seems as though the representatives on the phone arent very eager to help.
anyone got any advice or let me know how long it took to receive your results & whether it posted online first or via post mail. thanks everyone!:uhoh3::uhoh3:
i am sorry to hear that....i don't know if this will make you feel better --- things happen for a reason. who knows better things are in store for you. i have already accepted that i failed. it is hard on a day to day basis not knowing exactly until you get a letter from bon. but, you just have to rise up and make some changes - starting with physical exercise, refocus your plans, and get back to studying.
i read from one of the threads that a 2nd taker took suzanne's advice and passed. she got her result this weekend. you and i can do it! if not for this forum, i think i might have lost it totally.
I took my CA nclex on 8/7/2007. I also had 75Q. There are a lot of med, prioritization and delegation questions.Only few question from OB, Ped. and psy. After I finished the exam, I felt I fail the exam because med questions are my weakness.
After two days,I didn't see my name appear on the rn.ca.gov. So I called CA BON in the morning of 8/10 to see if they could reveal my result to me ( well, I was hoping:down:).
I am pretty sure the representives can see the test results from their computer screen because she told me that there are nothing ( I assume she meant the test result) on the screen yet . She told me that pearson has not sent the resul to BON yet. She said normally it will take 3-4 days for pearson testing center to send the result to BON(I know it sounds weird. )
Well, if I don't see my name on the website after this tuesday, I know I failed it. I already convinced myself that I fail and I am prepare to retake the exam before this Oct. I just subscribe the NCSBN review. I hope this review will help.
hi there. You havent received ur results yet? Well we hav the same predicament. There were four of us who took the exam my three other companions got their results after two days, Im still waiting mine. You can just imagine the level of anxiety i have. Its as if im the only one left with a negative result. But im still hoping that we will pass. The Lord is good! Keep your fingers crossed
I took CA NCLEX-RN twice last time was Friday July 13th they didnot have update untill Tuesday july 17th my name was not there and I failed again maximum 7 days for your name to appear there any way good luck & I will keep you in my prayers .Iam gonna take it for the third time dont give up.
i also took mine 8/8 and stopped with 75 questions..i called in the BRN too and said that i wait 30 days after the exam..haven't seen my name on the website yet.still hoping that i pass this with just one take.goodluck to us.I know God knows what's best for us.
Out of curiosity, where'd you get the information that your name will appear within a maximum 7 days? I'm wondering because I had a classmate that didn't get her results posted in California until 3 weeks later. During that time she assumed she had failed, but 3 weeks later there was her name on the BRN site. However, I'm guessing that with my classmate there must have been paperwork issues.
Do you know your result yet? I took mine on the 1st of this month; I have not received anything in the mail. I contacted BRN today and I was told that the result was mailed on 8/15 ---- so I guess that's my not passing result.
To everyone, don't lose hope. I know we will do better next time. I know it's really hard. I found myself crying again yesterday because a classmate of mine called me to let me know that she passed. I am happy for her, but at the same time I have a feeling of "Why me?" I was a better student than she was! I realized that I need to stop asking "why" and just move on. This site is helping me do that.
I just cannot believe it.
