Still no results after 8 days...

Published

Hello everyone!

I just took the NCLEX exam last week (Feb 2). It has been 8 days and I still do not see my name posted in the BRN website (rn.ca.gov). I stopped between 120-125 questions.

A lot of my classmates who took the NCLEX exam last year got their results within 5 days.

I guess I have to study again, but a lot harder this time.

Shier,

What were your results? I have a social security number, so I went to check my results at http://www.rn.ca.gov after 5 business days. It's been 8 days and I still have no results.

rence01,

Thanks for the kind words and encouragement!

Shier,

Well at least you passed. Boo-Hoo for me. I'm already sure I failed. I'm sorry but of all the tests I have taken in my life, the NCLEX is the hardest and extremely agonizing out of them all. I think the NCLEX was the invention of the Devil himself.

Yes, I'm a resident of California and a U.S. citizen as well. I have a valid SSN # on file with the BRN. I just wish they would show the results right afterwards. As far as why my teacher said that math questions = passing rate = I have NO clue. All I know is that this long wait is worst than lethal injection.

IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE WHO TOOK THE NCLEX AND NO MATH QUESTIONS AND PASSED? I cannot bear this any longer... this feels worst than maternity labor!!!!!

Your assessment about an exam without Math questions is extremely appreciated!

My school mate passed at 75 and had no math questions.

Is the BRN (rn.ca.gov) website accurate?

Is there anyone here who took the NCLEX-RN exam who checked the BRN frequently after 4 business days and realized that their name was not posted, but got a letter in the mail 3 weeks later stating that they passed?

Average wait time for CA is a full ten days, and remember that they are now having work furloughs on the first and third Friday of each month, first one started last week.

And it can take up to a month to see your results or receive them if your file is not complete. If you graduated from a program in CA, then you are permitted to sit for the exam before they have your transcripts in hand.

We ask that one wait 2 weeks and then if they have not seen or heard anything, to contact the BRN.

Yep. I took NCLEX-RN last week and had not one math question and I passed with 75 questions. I found out Sunday. Another nurse that works with me said that she did not have any math questions either. I was prepared for them because my school drilled math into our heads but I did not have any.

i got 2 math qn.am so worried coz math qns considered as low level qn.is there anybody got math and passed?i have 15 hrs to know my results...this waiting is horrible

But my teacher said if i didnt get a single math question that means i failed miserably... All my questions were about priority this... Priority that and a bunch of satas about gowns and gloves... I wish the computer let me have at least an iv calculation problem or some sort... But noooo.. They have to give me lots of priority... Its so unfair! I feel degraded.

Sorry, but your instructor is how to put this? Clueless!

There is no such truth at all that if you do not have math questions you will not pass the exam. Actually quite the opposite from that statement.

Priority is what you want to have on your exam. Best type of question to actually get.

If you understand how the exam is set up, then maybe you will feel differently. It already is very aware that each and every student that is going to sit for the nursing exams has to have passed a math exam before they could even continue on with their program in the first place. If the math exam not passed, then one is forced to drop from their program. It is interested in how you are going to practice when you get out of school and on things that you have not been tested on before. What you are going to do with the information that is already in your head.

Getting a couple of math questions does not determine anything, but they most definitely are not needed to pass the exam.

This thread is talking about CA. How do you know that you have 15 hours to wait?

Average wait time in CA is a full ten days, and not three to five days as many of you are assuming. Never, ever assume that you have failed if you do not see your name up on the BRN in a couple of days.

Many times it is because the school was late in sending in your transcripts. CA will permit you to test without them, but they will not issue a license without them.

You should be able to go on the Office of Professions website and put in Registered Professional Nurse and your name and its listed by name and city, if you are there you passed. Easy to use.
