Hello everyone!
I just took the NCLEX exam last week (Feb 2). It has been 8 days and I still do not see my name posted in the BRN website (rn.ca.gov). I stopped between 120-125 questions.
A lot of my classmates who took the NCLEX exam last year got their results within 5 days.
I guess I have to study again, but a lot harder this time.

wait for a few more days...if 2 weeks pass and you haven't heard anything, call the BRN. i waited for 3 weeks for results b/c my transcripts weren't in and my file was incomplete. called yesterday to confirm that my file was finally complete and saw my name this morning on the BRN website!
hang in there...and good luck to you!
*took the test on the 20th and got 170+ questions*
Do u think a no math question exam means failure? My head is gonna blow off trying to think. Plz advise!
i didn't get any math questions, only 1 SATA and i passed. i wouldn't go looking that far into what kinds of questions you got. just try to relax a little bit while you're waiting...i know, easier said than done.
Good luck to you!
But my teacher said if i didnt get a single math question that means i failed miserably... All my questions were about priority this... Priority that and a bunch of satas about gowns and gloves... I wish the computer let me have at least an iv calculation problem or some sort... But noooo.. They have to give me lots of priority... Its so unfair! I feel degraded.
Lloyd,
I have a feeling you passed. Someone I know told me when you get a lot of calculations, it means you are doing badly. Since you didn't get any math questions and lots of priority questions, you may have passed.
bebetisha,
My transcripts were in and my file was complete when I checked with the BRN. My gut feeling really tells me I didn't make it.
A lot of my classmates who took the NCLEX last year got their results within 5 days when they checked the BRN website. ONLY 1 of them got her result after 2 weeks.

i did not have any alternate format type question but one sata, no math questions for me(unfortunately for me, im a math guy),so i dont know why or where your instructor got that idea of a "no math nclex failed miserably thingy"..
i got lots of priority and delegation questions and drugs.. (.. i took mine last dec. 20,08 and after an agonizing wait of more than a month, i recieved a thin letter (ca-brn) last january 27,09.. but the letter was mailed january 2, i dont know why it took that long to be delivered, so you may not be waiting too long, i mean 8 days is nothing yet(for me)..so just be positive about it. if you're thinking that you failed, you might just get it.. but definitely, you still got hope..
thread edited to remove specifics, per the agreement that you signed when you sat for the exam, nothing is to be posted anywhere as to what you had on your exam. this includes names of drugs.
thanks for your understanding. suzanne4
by the way, do you have a social security number already? because if you do not, there's no chance that they will show your name at http://www.rn.ca.gov. but if you do, it might be your fastest way to know if you passed.. hope that helps..
