a month of waiting...
still nothing from u...
when will your heart soften?
and give me the chance i deserve?
is there anything
that you are looking for
that just isn't in me?
just tell me...
i really need to know...
by the time this verse is written
precious minutes have passed..
how much more of this waiting
is still to be endured?
St. Luke's, Medical City...
Call me...
Please...
(passed resume and other credentials to the above hospitals. still no calls after a month. *sigh* hehe!)

lol, have you tried following up on your status?
that's kind of the issue i had for my eligibility, coz i didn't follow up so i wasted about half a year or so waiting.

You can apply to other hospitals while waiting for their call. Have plan B as back up. This might be your dream hospital but there are still other hospitals who dream to hire you. Go on and continue to send your resumes.

does waiting for a call really take that long?! half a year?! should i follow up? i see... i thought it was just due to the huge number of applicants that's y hospitals these days really take time to call... i really want to work for these hospitals... i hope it's not impossible to be hired despite the current situation. anyway, thanks for your reply!:)
will do! after i get my prc id and finishing ivt training, i will continue passing applications to other hospitals. thank you!

hi! why don't you try going to st. luke's to follow up on your application. the same thing happened to me. i decided to personally go to st lukes to follow up on my application when i didn't receive any feedback from them after a month of submitting my resume. i went there in the morning then they asked for my name and the date i submitted my resume. after waiting for almost 2 hours, the found my resume. i even took the IQ test alone on the same day. the HR staff informed me that i passed and that i should expect a call for the initial interview. unfortunately, it has been a little over a week since i passed the IQ test and i still haven't heard from them.
sorry but i think that the HR staff of st luke's should try to make the hiring process more systematic. i understand that there are a lot of applicants but if things were more systemtic, then evrything would work out more smoothly.
you see, my friend and i submitted our resumes together on the same day and time. my friend got a call a week after our submission while they only took a look at my resume when i went to them. my friend is already hired while i am still waitin for my initial interview schedule. their HR sucks!

Every hospital is never going to hire all that apply there. Things are getting much tighter there as well.
Why don't you try some outlying provinces where you will actually get paid as an RN and not as a volunteer or training program that is without pay for months and no guarantee that you will get a real job when the six months or so are completed?
There is a sticky at the top of this forum about creating your own job, suggest that you have a good read there.

is hiring for the fort site still open? i hope i did not get your reply too late. i'll follow up with them within this week after i've finished scouting other potential hospitals. a friend and i went to cardinal santos a while ago. sad to say, we wasted time and effort after being told that there is no chance of getting hired if you don't have an iv therapy license. are you a 2008 passer like me? i totally agree with your view of how hr departments suck these days. the processing of applications take too much time and the sad part is, you won't even have an idea if your application has even made progress. maybe it's just due to the huge number of applicants or there really is something sucky with their system. i hope it's the former rather than the latter though. thank you very much. u've been helpful.:wink2:

Just got this from my aunt... She knew some people from SLMC's HRD. She told me that if they don't like the looks of the applicant, they just throw it away. It's not for fun sake. Rather, they want to have nurses of pleasing looks, not snobbish, not too rough, doesnt look hard headed. Picture says it all. Try posing for another shot, a better one...

really, their HR sucks!!!even us, graduates of NSETs, don't understand on what's happening, they say our top 5 of our batch will be hired first, but hello?they are not hired until now, 6 months of waiting in vain, ouuccchhh!!!
follow ups do help but don't do it too often because those HR people hate too much follow ups. when i was taking the IQ test of st lukes in the HR office alone, i heard an HR staff answer a call. when the call ended, i heard her say in an irritated tone that she's going to make the interview for the person who called difficult because he keeps on following up, its annoying her.
let me just say this once again: st luke's-GC HR sucks big time!
its has been 2 weeks since i passed the test and i still don't have a schedule for my initial interview. i'll wait for a month before going there for a follow up again.
is that so? so much for what's written on the resume then. i'd have to set an appointment with my hair stylist.
