I have an older pt with m.d., he takes Miralax for his bowels...but it makes everything sooooooooooooooo...sticky!!!! It would be bad enough to clean off a cute baby tush.....but this an adult hairy bottom. I end up using a lot of wipes and t.p. (family/pt. doesn't want wash cloth and soap used) any handy tips to make this clean up easier???

Lube his butt with oil next time he's cleaned up....think spray oil on a baking sheet, and the cookies sliding off...same principle

WHAT an analogy...er, I just typed ANALogy How sublime....
I don't think I'll be able to look at another chocolate biscuit or muffin without thinking of this!
Yes, oil occurred to me, but I was thinking more along the lines of baby oil.

Well, I was too :)
Just wanted to include my rationale
Plus, 1st post describing a hairy adult butt and sticky poo causes me some doubt as to whether or not this is legit- or some ABDL sort.....if it's legit- my apologies :)

At my hospital, a nurse used a little bit of shaving cream in the water with no-rinse shampoo/body wash and claimed that it helped get the poo off. YMMV.

After you clean him up, powder him up. Next time it wouldn't stick quite as bad. And I am also a huge fan of the peri bottle. Water pressure as opposed to all that rubbing his skin. (and if available some baby shampoo in the peri bottle with warm water) then use the wipes.....then powder.....
Unfortunately it is true...not joking....adult male client...and a home care situation which makes the whole thing just a bit more difficult (interesting set of supplies, firm patient demands with cares) and a new client for me...but after my 2nd night of feeling like I am scrubbing his skin off for 20 minutes...I need some other eyes on the issue. I love the oil idea...wondering if KY or something would work...just thinking H2O soluable instead of oil.
P.S. a joke??? who else but a night shift nurse would be thinking about how to clean up poop in the middle of the night??????
No, not KY, precisely because it's water-based. The heat will just liquify it. The powder is worth a try, but I'd go with the oil. It won't irritate the anal area and will work as a barrier, protecting the skin.

My apologies :) I've heard of a LOT of crazy stuff....I don't think the KY would work, since you need the oil to create more "slick" to get the poo off easier. And kudos to you for caring about not scrubbing the guy raw.
Again- I apologize; it's good to know there are folks looking for real solutions in the middle of the night that they didn't find on some kinkoid site :) Even some petroleum based ointment would help- as long as it's not super sticky itself. Water based stuff will just dry up; the oil based will stay slicker longer - good luck

Use just shaving cream, you can buy the cheap stuff and you need just a little foam, spread it, then wipe. Really works, used to use it when I worked and the nursing home and now at the hospital we have an occasional "sticky poo" and I grab the shaving cream. It is also a skin conditioner, so really good for the skin.

1) Clean the butt with soap and washcloth when family isn't in the room
2) Shave the butt
3) Layer the skin with barrier cream or ointment
4) Baby oil before and after
5) Use lotion or shaving cream to remove super sticky poop
6) Get one of those peri-care bottles and hose him down first
7) Wash with a combination of water, soap, and baby oil
8) Put whatever you can on the skin to provide a barrier between the poop and the skin to keep it from sticking
Hope some of this helps!

Yeah. In some states, shaving off body hair without permission is battery. GREAT idea- if the family agrees...
