I need to take stats still. I am terrified of this class, lol. I had planned on doing a 15 week to have less work each week, but I don't want to. How bad would it be to take it with Family Nursing? Or would it be better to take it concurrently with Evidence Based Nursing?

I think you have to take Stats before you can enroll in Evidence Based Nursing if I'm not mistaken.
Before or concurrently. The way the classes are offered though, in order to get my full financial aid, i either take it with Family, take it with Evidence Based, or take it over 15 weeks. I figured out a way to take it on it's own, and push one class back a little, but it screws up my aid. So I'm stuck.

You can take them concurrently. Not sure if they are going to revamp family or not. It NEEDS it - I wrote a scathing review of the class. I have written some hard truths about classes before but nothing like what I wrote about family!! If I was going to double up stats with one of those two - I would do it with EBP. Weekly quizes but there is a study guide that is very useful. Unlike the ones we were given in family. Good luck!!

Simply,
I'm trying to decide the same thing. Family and Stats or Evidence Based and Stats...ugh! If anyone else can chime in that would be great!
I've been told not to do it with Family, but it's going to suck pairing it with either class. I could do it on it's own, and just finish classes a bit late, but it will mess up my financial aid I have.

I've taken both stats and evidence based. ( not together) I was told that you needed stats first to take evidence, but I didn't see much stats in what we actually went over. Some of the terms were familiar in Evidence after taking stats.
Stats took me alot of practice to review over and over before I submitted assignments. I loved my prof and TA was the bomb. Evidence was busy work, much seemed pointless. Quizzes were hard, but had good study guide after week 2 which really helped.
If you are used to taking 2 at a time, I think it is doable. But you will be really busy and won't have time for much else.
I'm too chicken to take 2 NRS classes together. Next semester, I'm taking some of my gen ed classes at the comm college and will try 2 at a time there. ( Got to take a stupid Freshman comp class) and will take either PSY or Nutrition.
I will miss the 5 week format- 15 weeks of the same thing seems like forever.

If you can take them concurrently I would do STATS with EBP. Only because they are related to each other and it will feel more congruent.

Have you tried looking into any other online schools to do your psych or nutrition or anything? They have a bunch, many are like 8 week format or at least shorter than 15 weeks.
I've done 2 classes a few times. I'm in both Community and Leadership right now. I do most of my work in the middle of the night, since I work nights, and tend to stay up half the night on my nights off. So hopefully doing it with Evidence based I can survive, lol.
Well I haven't taken two NRS classes together, but I've been doing gen. ed. classes and a NRS class. I'm thinking I might pair up stats with EBP, and either do Family alone or with Fashion/culture (unless I decide to do cultural anthropology 10 day summer intersession). Not sure about that yet, since I hear family is a bear. Ugh! I'll finish up the semester with leadership and excellence. Then I just have to jr. comp and sociology during the summer and I'm done. Decisions, decisions!
That's my plan, family alone, stats and EBP together, finish up with excellence, then I have to do Chem (online) and do the intersession for cultural anthropology in May, then I'll be done. Hopefully start grad school in August.

I would recommend stats with EBP. Family was the worst class i have taken at OU, tests were crazy and no curve given, hopefully they will correct the errors in the class. Good luck
