i knew of the recent vt denials and just as of yesterday my friend's letter of rejection from az, same as ca bon's reason.

let's all thank our ched, prc and pna for doing a "great" job of not meeting the states minimum educational requirements.

i'm sure that this will also affect other countries not just those from phil.

"ony those states that have explicit education requirements of concurrent theory and practicum will philippine nurses have licensure issues.

excellsior college new york nursing graduates have had same issue recently. see state board licensure requirements here

these are states having concerns over concurrent therory and practicum, so i would look at other 37 states to obtain license:

alabama

arizona

california

georgia

illinois

kansas

louisiana

maryland

north dakota

oklahoma

vermont

virginia

washington "

im from the philippines. does everyone who graduated there got rejected?

does anyone have latest news on phil graduates trying to get an nclex in NORTH CAROLINA? were they eligible?

Hello good evening. Are there new states that have concurrency issues aside from the 13 plus new your and new jersey?

Does anyone knows if you worked as a nurse from other state then moved to California (reciprocity) you have to do the requirements of going back to school again?

Specializes in Acute Care, Rehab, Palliative.

If you are trying to obtain a license in CA you have to meet the same requirements as any other person applying for a CA license.Having a license in another state doesn't mean you don't have to meet CA requirements.

Okay thank you. I'm just wondering cause right now I'm waiting for this school in Bay Area they pffer the classes for 13500. Ill just take the classes then I guess. Thanks

Any additional States anyone has heard of? I will be applying to Texas, Nevada or Hawaii.

Guys, does anyone know about the update for NCLEX application in WA State? Is there really a concurrency issue in WA?

Has anyone tried with Wa?Are they implementing the concurrency rule? Please do update us.Thanks in advance

Same rules still have to get paeds ob and clinical .phiilipines and Australia don't meet standards

Has anyone tried with Wa?Are they implementing the concurrency rule? Please do update us.Thanks in advance

WA is a known enforcing state, there have been a few who reported being denied, some have gotten their ATT, so it depends on your transcripts evaluation.

We can add Nevada as another one, but we have read of several others who did obtain their ATT, but it will get much harder for some as they recently (Jan. 2013) need to see proof of your local country's nursing license.

It was just mentioned by a poster here in late June, 2013 that NV has closed the application process for international students and nurses.

Here's a copy that was posted last year from a Phils applicant and showing the letter of denial due to her having the concurrency problem: https://www.dropbox.com/s/a8rfzr8jw2q8yvw/Anjinjan.jpg
