NCLEX as soon after you graduate as possible??? Just curious if anyone has any idea? OH and KY require ALL you graduation paperwork/transcripts etc...AND KY makes you find an intenrship and work 120hrs after you take and pass NCLEX BEFORE they will give you your license (due to all the RN schools around here its next to IMPOSSIBLE to find a place willing to take you)...since i plan on working on post anyway i can use ANY state license so just curious if anyone knew any states that maybe just need an official transcript or letter from EC to get registered and take the NCLEX as soon as possible...thanks all!- Know i'm jumping the gun a little but hubby and i are trying to make plans for our next duty station and i want to have my license IN HAND before we move from here possibly by next xmas =)
tasha, like from the link i provided, it looks like minnesota does not need you to graduate first before they let you take the nclex. new jersey is the same. i took the board before my conferral date and my bon just needed the "letter of qualifications" from ec then they will issue you the att.
are you done will all your exams and just waiting for the cpne?
thanks i will bookmark mn on my nursing list to keep that in the front lines...no i am not finished with all my exams. i have ls2 (taking it monday) and ls3 (taking it the 23rd) and three gen eds (will be finished in jan) fcca and cpne to do...but hubby is in army and we may be moving next year, i live in ky and they require all graduation paperwork to even apply to take the nclex and then there is like a 60 day wait to get att then test, then you only get a temp license and you ahve to find a place to allow you to work for free for 120hrs then submit that paperwork to the state to get your full license...blah..since i live on the army post, you can have any state license to work...i'm thinking that is much better! =) also ohio has to have all graducation paperwork to apply for att as well...so i was trying to get my license quicker in order to get hired in as a dod employee for the hospital on post as an rn =) thank sfor info!

Minnesota all the way. 10 business days TOTAL time, and I had my license.
I am waiting now for my Michigan endorsement.
