NCLEX as soon after you graduate as possible??? Just curious if anyone has any idea? OH and KY require ALL you graduation paperwork/transcripts etc...AND KY makes you find an intenrship and work 120hrs after you take and pass NCLEX BEFORE they will give you your license (due to all the RN schools around here its next to IMPOSSIBLE to find a place willing to take you)...since i plan on working on post anyway i can use ANY state license so just curious if anyone knew any states that maybe just need an official transcript or letter from EC to get registered and take the NCLEX as soon as possible...thanks all!- Know i'm jumping the gun a little but hubby and i are trying to make plans for our next duty station and i want to have my license IN HAND before we move from here possibly by next xmas =)

I know this thread is probably a bit necrotic, but since so many people are getting so close to finishing I thought it might be helpful to bring it back to the front lines. I have been searching for it for a few days and hope it helps someone besides me.

Believe it or not, I have heard that my state is pretty friendly (Florida)... it was easy to endorse into as a LPN, don't know about initial licensure for RN.

My initial state of licensure is North Carolina and that was a big blunder... and because they were on summer vacation or something, I passed my boards on the 20th of one month, and they did not even ISSUE my license until the 2nd of the next month! It was rediculous.

I am going to just apply to my home state, since FL is not compact I don't wanna have to pay to endorse in again.

I am in Cali so I can send tons of money down a rabbit hole and hold my breath until i am cyanotic and still may never get a license. So i'm taking the safe route of getting another states license and applying for the military and va jobs then I'm going to apply for CA as endorsement somewhere along the road. I'm just not sure when I want to send that money to the wasteful politicians of California.
