I'm a graduate from the Philippines, and I'm planning to take the NCLEX here in California.

But the Cali Board of Registered Nursing said that I'm not ineligible to take NCLEX RN because I have a deficiency in my Psychiatric Nursing units. And the solution is for me to enroll to a nursing program here in California.

and that means I'll be spending a lot of $$$.

So I was thinking of applying to take from another state.

The thing is, I want to work in California.

My question is, what state allows me to work in California?

What state is accepted for license endorsement or reciprocity in California?

i just called brn and talked to my evaluator and complained and that's it.

Really?.. wow!.. what did you said to her/him?.. did you send any documents.. how did you convince him/her?.. help.. :(

Up to now im still struggling on how i can fix this big problem.. I dont know how will i address my problem to my licensing analyst.. can you help me on how to do it?... what did you said to your licensing analyst.. i really really need your help.. :( .. im looking forward to have an answer from you.. thank you very very much..

hi, first how many hours did you do ba in psychiatric nursing in the philippines? both in theory and in clinical exposure? i did 90 for theory and 115 for clinical eh

hi guys, just to update you. i didn't just complain. the thing is, a schoolmate of mine got her eligibility. That's why i complained, I actually inquired as to why she got her eligibility and I didn't get mine. so they checked my documents again, and then after an hour or so, called me to tell me that i am eligible and the evaluator oversaw it.

as for the hours, i actually asked my evaluator how many hours are needed. she said that my 90-115 is still not enough. that it doesnt meet the california standards. and when i asked how many hours i needed more, she said she's not allowed to divulge that information. but after learning that my schoolmate, actually a classmate of mine, same section and clinical rotations got her eligibility without any questions, i had to call them and ask why.

and that's when they said i am eligible.

I called them but unfortunately i wasnt able to talk to my evaluator, i talked with the operator and my problem doesn't focus on the hours, its basically about having my psych theory and clinical concurrently which we did.. they were just confused that i didn't took it at the same time, so i just need to prove that i took it concurrently.. They didnt talk about hours as my problem.. Im just hoping thats just my problem and nothing else.. :( .. thank you offleemits :) .. goodluck on your exam :)

aww okay, you can tell the operator to transfer you to your evaluator. oh that's a different problem you can just provide documentation. thank you too. 1 more month from now. good luck to you as well.

Thanks :) ..They always forward me to my evaluator, unfortunately my evaluator is always not available so i just leave a voice message and up to now im not receiving his feedback from my voice message.. I asked the operator why my evaluator is not responding and they said that they are transferring to a new building, thats why, they are quite busy.. im planning to just gather the needed document from my school and send it to my evaluator.. i hope that thing works and will get my ATT soon.. Hoping! :) ..

Hello there, i have the same problem as you had, only yours now is history. I'm thankful that I came across this forum. You gave me hope. I received my deficiency letter last April and my life's been stressful after that. I even tried asking a city college nearby and the dean said they dont do make up courses. In my case i have been keeping in touch with my evaluator through emails and she never fails to respond to my inquiries. I just dont know how to go around with her decision regarding my application.

just wanna ask you though, did you name names when you question them about your schoolmate/classmate?

Yes, I did name names. They will ask you, they need to know that you're telling the truthso they will look up that person. I was skeptical about it first, cause if it goes wrong, my classmate would be ineligible and she would be really mad at me. and if it goes the way i wanted it, my papers will be okay.

Yes, she did, but I already threw it in the trash. but she gave me a list of colleges i could enroll in

A certain ************. Still no luck on finding a schoolmate of mine. I ask for names frm my school to look for in fb, but they wont reply. I might as well take the make up class. :confused: What I hate though is the prerequisite before you can take your desired make up class. It takes not just months but a year of waiting for you to finish it. :mad:
