Starting TWU Fall 2006?

Nursing Students SRNA

Published

Just wondering if there are any other nurses out there starting at Texas Wesleyan in Aug '06? I am both excited and scared from what I know will be a tough program! Just knowing somebody before we start classes might help!

I recently went to interviews at both schools. Just waiting to hear from them. It is driving me nuts! It seems like a lot of you guys found out at the interview that y'all were accepted. That is cool.

Interviewed at both TCU and TWU in November of 05. I was accepted at both programs. I think both programs are excellent, however; I chose to go to TWU because of the reputation and hard evidence of the quality of anesthetists "put out" at this school. I have friends who are currently in the TWU didactic phase of the program and they do study many long, hard hours, but it will pay off in the end. I do believe that TCU is a good school, but they lack the one thing that is drawing me to TWU---Dr. Reinke. If I am going to be grilled on A&P, why not get it from the best????

By the way- TCU attempted to recruit Reinke a couple of years ago........

There not much else to say Congratulations to you on your acceptance to TWU.

I totally agree with you. Thanks for posting.

CONGRATS!!!!

At last I've found a thread for TWU!!! I sit for my interviews at both Denver sites next week. Exciting, nerve-racking, scary all at once. What kind of questions did they ask during your interview?

Thanks for your insight!!!

Hence me saying a nationwide survey wouldn't be a good idea. Even though TCU only has one graduating class, this year's pass rate will tell you where they are as a program as far as preparing their students.

TCU's first class graduated 53 students. 51 Have taken the boards so far; 51 have passed. 2 have yet to take it. Seven students scored the highest reportable score of 600.

Well, I just thought I'd pass this info along for those that check this thread/posts. I heard from the school that letters were mailed out yesterday. I'm not sure if it's just clinical slot assignments, which is what I am waiting on, or acceptance/rejection letters also. So I expect next week we'll be congratulating more people as they hear from TWU for the class of 2008! And on a sad note, for those of you who will have to reapply for next year, don't give up!

You won't regret attending TWU. I'm in my second semester and have no regrets at all! Congrats and welcome to TWU.

Oh I have a big regret. I should have taken way more trips and went to alot more parties before starting school.

I know alot of you all are going to want to study and all the crap; but just have a really good time. SERIOUS!!!!

Oh, I totally agree! I'm going on a vaction to Mexico this summer. I expect it's the last one I'll get for a few years!

For those of you waiting on the letter, they will gladly tell you your clinical assignment via telephone..As for me i'll will be at TTHSC!! yahoo!

Look forward to seeing who else will be joining me.

TexasTech-HSC, Lubbock. I am very excited, as well as anxious to get started.

Hey all,

I just received my acceptance letter today! Only bad thing:clinical site in california!! I live in Abilene! Guess I won't be seeing my family for a while. At least it looks like a nice hospital. What are everyone's plans for housing? All I've really heard about are the on-campus graduate apartments.
