Starting my 1st Semester of Nursing School tomorrow

Published

 And finally I begin my journey...I am so excited and finally ready to start this chapter of my life. I am going for my AAS and hopefully will transfer RN-BSN after graduation. Anyone can tell me what to expect on the first day of class?? Or better yet First semester, what is it like, how hard is it really? will I breathe eat and sleep nursing books? Ok Enough!! I'm excited ;)
pc2801 can you recommend a specific fa davis book or product for a 1st semester nursing student? I looked on amazon and saw a lot of options.

If you are taking fundamentals, mental health, or med surg, there is one for each. I swear by the incredibly made easy series and works well for visual learners.

Be ready to turn into a study-aholic. Ask as many questions as you can and I recommend finding friends in the class you can study with on a regular basis. You have to stay on top of things 24/7.

This is truth. I have literally every minute of my day planned.

I used both Test Success and Fundamentals sucess in my first course and later maternity and med/surg success books.

Congrats!! So exciting! First off I want to say, all the previous advise is GREAT but you really need to find your own groove and way of how to understand things. It takes a couple of weeks but once you get it, it gets better from there. Good luck and take things one day at a time!
