I'm taking A&P II online this summer and starting nursing classes and clinicals in the fall.
In my program, the prereqs are:
A&P I and II
Sociology 101
Psychology 101
For me, the only even remotely challenging prereq is A&P. Psych and soc were simple, and soc was really interesting which always helps.
For A&P, find online resources to help you. If your book as a companion site, use it. If your book comes with CDs, use them. Ask questions. Study hard.
Good luck.
Tips! Too many. But I'll leave you with the one that I considered most important:
Do not just read the information over and over again and think you are studying. Memorize and understand it enough so that you can teach someone who doesn't have any liking of anything medical. If you can make them understand, it means you understand.
I finished my pre-req's last semester. Before I had been getting Bs and Cs but I got straight As in my pre-req science classes. And it was all because I finally figured out to study. And also, get a good grade in speech and english because a lot of schools look at that too.
I'm starting my pre-reqs this summer too, taking A&P in a condensed summer semester. Kind of stressed about that, because it's a year long course that meets everyday and may turn out to be difficult. Thinking about scheduling another class also, but don't want to overload myself.
One of my pre-reqs is Soc 101, I have a BA already and I am hoping that something from my first degree can replace that class, as I feel that I've already learned what that course teaches. Has anyone been able to replace Soc 101 with something else?
