Hi to all of the current pn students. I will be starting Nursing school next year. The first classes in the curriculum are dosage and calculations, nutrition and diet therapy and nursing fundamentals. I am wondering what to expect and are there any material I can overview now?

Hi and congratulations on getting into nursing school. You could find out what foundations book your school is using. It might change for next year but you could still get an idea of what your program is teaching. Good luck.

Perhaps you may wish to study some basic anatomy and physiology or purchase a book on medication math and dosage calculations. Having a solid understanding of the A&P is imperative to your success in school because, without this knowledge, you cannot truly understand the all of the disease processes and pathologies. Good luck!
